Lt. Ted "Bear" Barnett
After Lt. Ted "Bear" Barnett received his Wings of Gold in
December, 1991, the Navy sent him to learn to fly the Tomcat at
"Fightertown, USA" in San Diego, California. In the Fall of
1992, Lt. Barnett and the "Wolfpack" of Fighter Squadron One
deployed to the Persian Gulf to prevent Iraqi warplanes from
attacking Shiites below the 32nd Parallel. Bear Barnett also flew air cover in Somalia.
